Porcelain veneers allow you to have the perfect naturally beautiful, youthful smile you have always wanted.
Sunshine Smiles Dental veneers are a fraction of the cost that you may pay elsewhere, making them an affordable way to transform your smile.
Our veneers are custom-made thin, tooth coloured porcelain shells that fit over your existing teeth. They are the treatment of choice to create a perfect, natural smile due to their aesthetic appeal and longevity. Veneers can change the colour, size, shape and the spacing of your teeth.
The procedure is done over two visits. The first appointment your tooth is prepared and shaped, unlike other procedures such as crowns, porcelain veneers require very minimal tooth reduction.
An impression is taken of your teeth, which is used by our dental ceramist to create the best fitting, and most natural-looking veneer for your tooth.
Temporary veneers are placed on your teeth for the two weeks between appointments these act as a preview to the final result; this gives you and your dentist the opportunity to evaluate all aesthetic and functional parameters, so that ideal results are achieved. During the second appointment your new veneers are tried in for a final assessment. Your dentist will check the fit and aesthetic appearance and upon your agreement the veneers are cemented into place using a special bonding system.
Porcelain crowns have evolved considerably over the years; advances in materials and dental adhesive technology have made it possible to create a metal free, durable and strong restorative option.
Porcelain crowns are porcelain tooth-like covers that are used to restore and protect heavily filled, broken, worn or damaged teeth. They are often applied to teeth that have become structurally weakened as the result of root canal therapy or the presence of a large cavity.
Crowns can be a relatively inexpensive cosmetic solution to enhance the position, colour, shape or size of teeth, and thus create a more natural, beautiful smile.
At Sunshine Smiles Dental crowns are fabricated over two appointments. The first appointment involves careful and minimal preparation of the tooth followed by impressions, which are sent to our local dental ceramist who creates a precision fitting, natural-looking crown. A temporary crown is placed to protect the tooth whilst the crown is being made.
At the second appointment the porcelain crown is tried in for a final assessment. The dentist will check the fit and aesthetic appearance and upon the patient’s approval the crowns are cemented into place using a special bonding system.
